 ISWA ?? The International Solid Waste Association - is an international, independent and non-profit making association, working in the public interest to promote and develop sustainable waste management worldwide. ISWA has members around the world and is the only worldwide association promoting sustainable and professional waste management. The Association is open to individuals and organisations from the scientific community, public institutions and public and private companies from all over the world working in the field of and interested in waste management. ISWA is the only world-wide association that is working on waste matters. Being part of our association will give you an unparalleled access to international organisations such as UNEP, the WHO, or in Europe the EU, where ISWA is an accredited association for waste questions. Through our Working Groups, we help these international organisations form policy by supplying technical papers and opinions regarding waste practices. It is also the only world-wide waste organisation, which allows you to net-work with professionals, companies and institutional representatives.
 Overseas Environmental Cooperation Center, Japan(OECC) was established in 1990 supported by Environment Agency(currently Ministry of the Environment) of Japanese Government for the promotion of international cooperation in a non-governmental position. OECC envisions through the direction of environmental issues and the incorporate movements in political, economic, and social field under the progress of international mutual dependence in the 21st century. And then, OECC is to contribute to promote the conservation of global environment in terms of research study, personnel training and supporting non-government activities under the international cooperation with many countries. Many of activities are funded and achieved in line with the environmental policy of the Ministry of the Environment, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Japan International Cooperation Agency(JICA), Japan Bank for International Cooperation(JBIC), etc. These accomplishments are thus utilized for policy making of international environmental cooperation and execution of environmental cooperative projects.
 WMAM is a non-profit, technical and educational organization promoting and encouraging the maintenance of high standards of waste management services in Malaysia in respect of solid and liquid waste, hazardous, clinical and all other types of waste. It also encourages collaboration and cooperation between all those interested and concerned with waste management. WMAM was established in March 2005 and is among the latest and one of the most proactive organization that aims to provide a platform for all stakeholders to interact and discuss al aspects of waste management in Malaysia. It was admitted as the National member of the prestigious International Solid Waste Association (ISWA) in January 2008. As a newly established association, it aims to establish and maintain contact with local as well as international waste management related organizations apart from organizing meetings, technical visits, training courses, workshops and seminars on issues of waste management including study trips to promote the transfer of practical information and ideas on waste management for the benefit and welfare of the members. WMAM represents waste management practitioners and professionals who are experts, specialists, consultants, vendors and suppliers of processes and technology, connected in one way or another to waste management.
